PWQA 2020 Virtual Convention FAQ

 

Thank you for your interest in this year’s PWQA Virtual Convention. I’m sure you are curious on how the event will take place this year. Please take the time to view some Frequently Asked Questions below. Q: When is the event? How do I attend?

A: October 6-9th. Education sessions will be from 7 am to 9 am PT daily. There will also be daily activities at 4 pm PT for those who purchase the full convention. The event will be held via Zoom.

Q: Do I need to register in advance? How can I register?

A: Yes, you do need to register in advance. You can register online here or by download the registration form here and returning via email. Applications sent via email may take up to 24 hours to process after October 5th, 2020. Email completed applications to info@pwqa.org .

Q: How much does it cost to attend?

A: The Full Convention registration cost $69 per person for member companies and $99 per person for non-member companies. The Education Session registration costs $39 per person for member companies and $59 per person for non-member companies. There is no fee to view all virtual exhibitor booths or Tech Talks. We only request your name, company name and your email address as registration before you view the page.

Q: What is the difference between the Full Convention Package and the Education Sessions?

A: The Full Convention registration include access to all Virtual Education Classes (live and post event recordings), Tech Talks, Exhibitor Virtual Booths, and all afternoon activities: Annual General Meeting with Legislative Update, Raffle Time, Silent & Live Auction, Wine Tasting Event (BYOW – Bring your own Wine), and Industry Award Ceremony. Each attendee will receive one free raffle ticket for daily Raffle Time.
The Education Session registration includes access to all Virtual Education Classes (live and post event recordings), Tech Talks, and Exhibitor Virtual Booths only.

Q: I can’t log into my member portal/ I don’t know what email I provided/ I forgot my password, what do I do?

Q: How does a Virtual Convention work?

A: The convention will be held online via Zoom. By being virtual, we are able to make this the largest education event so far with 8 education sessions! The event will take place over 4 days with education sessions each morning from 7 am – 9 am Pacific Time. Afternoon activities will be held daily at 4 pm Pacific Time. Registration can be completed at any time online via your company member portal or by emailing the completed registration application here to info@pwqa.org. Applications sent via email may take up to 24 hrs to process after October 5th, 2020. Each attendee will receive an email confirmation containing their personalized link to join the Convention. All attendees will start receiving their confirmation email on Friday October 2, 2020. If you do not receive your email by end of day, please contact Jenneva at office@pwqa.org.

Q: In person, I make my way over to the Trade Show floor to visit all the exhibitor booths and listen to the Tech Talks. How can I do that if the event is virtual?

A: The Trade Show floor will look a little different this year. The Virtual Convention Exhibits can be viewed on the PWQA website 24 hours a day starting October 6th 2020. The Tech Talks will also be posted on PWQA’s YouTube Channel and on PWQA’s Social Media Channels. There is no fee to view all virtual exhibitor booths or Tech Talks, we only request your name, company name and your email address as registration before you view the page.

Q: If I do not purchase the Full Convention package or the Education sessions, can I still view the exhibitor booth?

A: Yes, you can. There is no fee to view all virtual exhibitor booths or Tech Talks, we only request your name, company name and your email address as registration before you view the page. The Exhibitor Virtual Booths and Tech Talks will be available to all on the PWQA website once the event begins October 6th.

Q: Do I have to watch the education sessions, exhibit booths, and Tech Talks at a certain time slot?

A: The education sessions will only be available from 7 am to 9 am PT during the convention. The recording from each session will be provided to those who register for the Full Convention or Education Session registration only after October 9th. The exhibit booths and Tech Talks will be pre-recorded to accommodate the presenters’ and your schedule. The Virtual Convention Exhibits can be viewed on the PWQA website 24 hours a day starting October 6th 2020.

Q: My Company would like to exhibit but I don’t know where to start.

A: Greg Reyneke and Allan Horner have created videos with great tips and examples on how to create a virtual booth. They can be viewed on the website here. Remember, keep it simple and natural. Be as creative as you want to be. The exhibit booths do not need to be complicated. See the Virtual Booth requirements below.

Q: I want to exhibit. What do you need from me?

A: Thank you for being a part of our event! Submit all materials to info@pwqa.org. Include dropbox/wetransfer links for large files. Material submission deadline is Thursday, October 1, 2020 to check for technical difficulties and to be certain your video is available online on October 5th. Exhibit Booth can be uploaded at any time throughout the event and will be posted on the website throughout the rest of 2020. Any materials received after that date will be posted 24-36 hours of receipt. Videos/Slideshow for Virtual Exhibits or Sponsorship need to be 5 minutes or less in MP4 Video or Powerpoint slideshow. The files can be provided directly to our office or you can upload the video to your company’s YouTube channel (if applicable) and provide the link directly to us via email. You can record yourself using your mobile device/ camera or you can record using Zoom and share the recording with us. Remember, keep it simple and natural. Be as creative as you want to be.
